Dear friends,

During the crisis in April and May 2006, Life, Love and Health volunteers remained on the ground in Timor-Leste to distribute humanitarian aid including food, water and medicines to displaced and dispossessed men, women and children.

On 8 October Life, Love and Health hosted the ‘Timor Gathering’ a fundraising concert in Melbourne featuring Paul Kelly and the Hoodoo Gurus to raise funds and awareness for LL&H and our maternal health partner - The Alola Foundation. The First Lady of Timor Leste, Kirsty Sword Gusmao and the LL&H Patron the honorary Consul General of East Timor, Kevin Bailey, attended the evening. Thankyou to all that supported the event and volunteered to make this evening a great success.

As the Timor-Leste Government and the International community work to bring calm to Dili, we have continued our development work with our Community Development Partner AFAP and our Timorese NGO partners. We have projects underway in the areas of Maternal Health, Traditional Handicrafts, Sustainable Horticulture and Water and Sanitation. For further details please use the links on this homepage or contact us.

Please take a moment to read our latest newsletter and if you can, please help us continue this vital work by making a donation through this website today. Donations to ‘AFAP - Life, Love and Health’ are tax deductible and because all Australian members of Life, Love and Health are volunteers, you know with us that administration fees are not consuming your donations.

Obrigado (Thank you)

Yours sincerely
